Many industrial parks in Thailand, especially the hardware processing plants in 2 third-tier cities, generally have the power supply problem of long-term low incoming line voltage. The pressure of the punch cannot meet the process requirements, the motor frequently heats up, and the numerical control system stops the alarm without reason. , these problems seem to be scattered, and the root is often only one. ” not enough voltage “.
One of the Thai hardware processing factories left a deep impression on her: the total power of all kinds of punching machines, bending machines, lathes and polishing equipment in the factory was 220KW, the incoming line voltage in the factory was low for a long time, and the equipment often suffered from insufficient output, motor fever and increased defective product rate. Combined with the current situation of the field load and the power grid, the team once again recommended the ZFSBW-300KVA of a three-phase compensated voltage stabilizer to the customer, and completed the power supply and voltage stabilization transformation of the whole plant. This article takes the case apart and makes it clear: why does low voltage hurt production? Why 220KW equipment with 300KVA? How does the compensation type voltage stabilizer stabilize the whole plant 380V.
Factory voltage long-term low, hardware processing why “very hurt”?
Thailand’s local industrial standard is three-phase 380-400V, but some industrial parks have long distances to erect lines and many factories share one transformer, so the voltage drop during peak power consumption is very obvious. It is measured that the peak incoming line of this hardware factory often falls to the 330-345V range-note that this is not an instantaneous flicker, but a continuous low pressure. Hardware processing is also a typical scene of a large number of inductive loads. The impact current of punching machines and bending machines is large at the moment of starting, and the voltage will drop further.
Low voltage directly brings a series of production problems:
- Punch press pressure can not meet the process requirementsthe workpiece stamping is not in place, resulting in waste products;
- Long-term undervoltage operation of motor, The working current becomes larger, the coil temperature rise is too high, and the service life of the motor is shortened;
- Part of the CNC control system due to insufficient input voltagefrequent alarms restart and the production line is forced to be interrupted.
Insufficient equipment output, rising defective rate, and increased maintenance costs are the realities that such low-voltage plants face every day.
220KW equipment why choose 300KVA? First distinguish between kW and kVA
This customer has used a 300KVA voltage stabilizer before and has actual use knowledge of this power section. However, due to the slow voltage stabilizing response of the old equipment and the wear and tear of the voltage regulating mechanism, the voltage stabilizing effect is declining year by year, so it plans to purchase and replace it again. Many customers will wonder: the total power of the equipment is only 220KW, why not choose 250KVA instead of ZFSBW-300KVA?
A distinction is made here between active power (kW) and apparent power (kVA). Punch presses and bending machines for hardware processing belong to impact loads with large starting impact current. At the same time, under the continuous low-voltage working condition in Thailand’s factory area, the voltage drop on the input side of the voltage stabilizer is large, and sufficient capacity margin needs to be reserved, which cannot be directly converted by kW. 220KW active load, considering the power factor, starting impact, long-term low pressure drop capacity and other factors, the configuration of 300KVA is a reasonable and safe choice.
Simple understanding: the capacity is equally selected according to kW, which is only suitable for resistive and stable loads; Impact load plus long-term low-pressure working condition, the capacity must be left with sufficient margin.
ZFSBW-300KVA three-phase compensated regulator
The ZFSBW-300KVA is a three-phase high-power compensated power regulator designed specifically for persistent low voltage scenarios in Southeast Asian factories. When the input terminal is continuously at low voltage, the compensation circuit can output sufficient compensation voltage to maintain the output stability at 380V 1%, thus ensuring the stable output of 220KW hardware processing equipment at the rear end.
Different from ordinary low-power regulators, the ZFSBW-300KVA increases the compensation winding capacity, and there will be no output capacity drop under low-voltage input conditions-this is particularly critical for long-term low-voltage plants such as Thailand.
The site transformation adopts the whole plant centralized voltage stabilization scheme: the back end of the main incoming line is connected with a ZFSBW-300KVA voltage stabilizer, and all punching machines, lathes, polishing and numerical control equipment are uniformly powered after voltage stabilization. A high-power voltage regulator covers the whole plant, unified management, maintenance centralized.
Field effect: incoming line 335V, output stable at 380V
After the equipment is put into operation, even if the incoming line of power consumption in the factory area is lowered to 335V, the output is still stable at 380V:
- The pressure of the punch is restored to normal and the punch is in place;
- The heating of the motor is obviously improved;
- CNC system no longer alarm without reason;
- The rate of defective products decreased significantly.
For hardware processing plants, stable voltage directly means lower scrap rate, longer equipment life and smoother production rhythm.
